Taneli "covered" in Welcome to Finland

As an act of shameless self-promotion (forgive me) I'm letting you know about a cool interview I did for Welcome to Finland magazine.

Picture: Taneli Tikka in the cover of Welcome to Finland

The current issue of the magazine is so new that they don't seem to have the latest issue on their website yet. Welcome to Finland is a magazine that's targeting business travellers to Finland. They have a readership of more than 150.000 or so.

The interview and the associated photoshoot was fun to do. If my startup career fails I'll go into male modeling ;-)

You can find the paper in Finnish embassies, airport lounges, ferries, cafés, and various hotels including my favorite the luxurious Hotel Kämp. The Academic Bookstore and Stockmann also have it on sale.

In the article I talk about my startup life and history, especially where my "online community expertise" comes from originally, and share some views on attitude towards entrepreneurs and get a bit political towards the end. If you really want a copy of it, I might be able to send you one. Drop me a message and we'll see what I can do.

Cool!

Forbes next? ;)

Attitude

When you grow tired or entrepreneuring you can always resort to modeling LOL :D

Backup career

Tuija: yeah that's the backup career plan ;) luckily male models don't have to worry as much about "old age", heh.

What's up with the hairstyle?

What's up with the hairstyle? It certainly doesn't match well with his suit, and sticks out like a sore thumb.

Hairstyle choices

The interview I did for them was a "character interview" being about my life and such.

I have been training martial arts (and a bunch of related stuff) since early childhood, and they took an idea from that.

In the picture there I am wearing kickboxing wraps, like these here:

http://www.boxinggyms.com/tips/wraps/eugene01.htm

They spayed me with fake sweat and made my hair look like I just had been working out/training.

So it's combining business suits with sweat and kickboxing. Meant to give some heavy contrast. In some of the other pics in the interview I wear boxing gloves.

The photoshoot was lots of fun to do ;)
