www.muxlim.com has "did it again" first by being the star of the show at SIME Copenhagen and then winning the nomination for the SIME Awards in the category of "Best Internet Strategy".

And as you might remember Muxlim just recently won the World Summit Awards Nomination.
Muxlim is soon starting to be one of the most awarded new startups around in Finland. I think "they had it coming" and they certainly have some momentum building up. Gratz to the whole team, again!
There has been some enthusiastic tweets and blogposts about Muxlim's stardom in Denmark. Here's one by Mads Kristensen. He is saying:
There was one thing, I saw, which stuck with me: Muxlim.com - the worlds largest online community for muslims. Mohamed El-Fatatry, the founder of Muxlim Inc, gave an inspired talk about how they have created this big community for everything related to a muslim lifestyle.
It's nice to see some excellent buzz developing around Muxlim. The funny thing is that with a bit over 2 million monthly uniques Muxlim has just barely scratched the surface of their 500+ million strong market. So no need to go all like Alexander the Great: "When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer."
Hi. My name is Taneli Tikka. This is where I preach what I practice. I'm a
serial entrepreneur and a startup activist of sorts. People usually know me
from my past and present consumer Internet service projects: IRC-Galleria,
Dopplr, Muxlim, StarDoll, RunToShop, Vakuutuskone.com, and a bunch of other stuff. My
"proper" bio is behind this link. Glad to see you here, thanks for browsing
around.

Monthly uniques?
Fri, 2008-11-07 23:38 — Anonymous (not verified)Not that copying popular web services and slapping "for muslims" on them isn't a superb plan, but can you explain how the "2M monthly uniques" line correlates with these?

If they are as popular as you said, one would expect there to be a clear indication of that even in the more US centric traffic ranks.
Muxlim traffic has quite a few sources, unfortunately
Fri, 2008-11-07 23:48 – taneliUnfortunately Muxlim's traffic shows up on "automatic" measurement sites like Quantcast, Alexa, Google Trends, Compete.com etc as many different sites. Currently there is no good 3rd party way to sum up the traffic and get a precise overview of it. Those links you pasted are pretty much as far as it gets with those services.
The company is working on this. Getting all traffic "under one roof" to also show it in metrics like those. Will probably be somewhere in 2009 when this is possible.
Currently Muxlim is using various tracking/counter services to track and measure the traffic. One of them being the Finnish advertising distribution and measurement company Relevant, that does IRC-Galleria's and Habbo's adds for example; www.relevant.fi
Muxlim has about 2 million monthly uniques currently. Visitors who visit multiple separate services are consolidated in this number, so that they don't show up as double, or triple etc.
